Here's a Porsche for you. Any guesses? It's a single model year, if that helps.
I've been away, working on the blog with the buddies and attending as many car shows and meets as possible during my free time. I'll try to get back to some semblence of posting, share some of the wonderful cars and stories and maybe even that Master Debates thing. But for now, here's this while I spend the next few days getting caught up.

Somewhere in the mid to late 70s, 1976-1979, or thereabouts.

Nope. First, ask yourself what it is. Then ask yourself, what could make it special enough to share. The answer is there... even though I, myself, probably wouldn't get it as I'm not a mega Porscheophile.

I can only imagine how slow those things were.... 911 body, 914 engine.
Still would be a unique one to own though. Can't imagine there are too many still floating around.

Would you gut and swap it, or keep it as is?
Judging by the plates, I'm guessing this car is 100% complete stock and unmodified. That said, it's rare in that it was a one year car with less then 2100 units made and sold in the US. But is it rare enough?
I wouldn't change a thing, personally. If that's how I felt, I'd probably find the right owner for this car, at the right price, and buy something less special, or more special too.

Looks like a 2009 model to me.

I think it's the perfect sort of Porsche. It's rare and esoteric enough, but I honestly think that it might be the perfect sort of DD. It's not going to be as harsh or unforgiving like a 911, but it's got the same silhouette, and look.

It was described as being simple, yet satisfiying. That, and I think it looks spot on.
